Overwatch UGC Open Official Rules

Team Rosters are locked in once they are signed up for the event.

Players who registered without a team will be assigned a team before the tournament begins. For more information on this, email ugc@ugcevents.com.

Matches will be played with the 3 vs 3 Elimination Game Mode.

The bracket will be double elimination.

All participants must bring their own controller and USB connection cable. Controllers will be available for rent from the UGC, but supplies are limited.

Maps will be picked in order by UGC staff based on which round in the bracket that match is being played in.

Derogatory, inflammatory, racial or otherwise improper speech will not be tolerated and can result in your and/or your teams disqualification.

All contested matches will be resolved solely by UGC staff.

STATEMENT
The Ultimate Gaming Championship, LLC (UGC) (”the Producer”) is a live and online broadcaster and event producer for the gaming and eSports industry. Our audience demographic is wide and ranges from young teens to people in their mid-forties, all of which have the potential to be influenced very easily. In the fulfillment of our critical role, this document outlines the values and expected behaviors that guide the UGC eSports guests in all activities relating to the event. By committing to these values and adhering to the expected behaviors, we collectively strengthen the production value of the event, broadcast and personalities all the participants involved. Failure by a team or individual to comply with the provisions of this document may result in removal or ban of the offending parties, and could have them liable for some or all of the expenses incurred by the Producer or its Partners in order to have them at the event. You understand that all herein contained is a required for the UGC to proceed with the event and all of its Advertisements. The UGC may rely on this release in proceeding with the event and Advertisements.

EXPECTED BEHAVIOURS
This code of conduct is intended to offer a broad range of guidance about the standards of integrity and both live and broadcast conduct, but no code can address every situation that individuals may encounter. For this reason, the code of conduct does not relieve individuals of the responsibility and accountability to exercise good judgment and, in circumstances where they are unsure as to the proper course of action, to seek guidance from others. Treating all people with respect, dignity and fairness is fundamental to our relationship with our viewership and will promote engagement. The diversity of our audience and the ideas they generate are the source of our innovation.

CODE OF CONDUCT
Language used in broadcasting should be rated as PG-13. Profanities may be used from time to time but should not be filler words or an intensifying word, nor should any profanities be discriminatory. Each and every team will be allowed up to three warnings for poor conduct or individual behavior for the duration of the event. Individuals will receive a warning if they are behaving outside the scope of this agreement. Teams or Individuals that exceed three warnings will be disqualified from the match, series or event at the discretion of the Producer.
Individuals that repeatedly use excessive foul language or prohibited phrases during live broadcasts and live listen-ins will be cautioned and may be disqualified from the match, series or event at the discretion of the Producer.

INDIVIDUAL CONDUCT
Any serious offences such as intentional damage caused to equipment or physical attacks or abuse of other attendees, players or staff will not be tolerated and will result in the immediate removal and/or disqualification of the parties involved from the event and the venue by event Staff. The Producer reserves the right to disqualify or remove any such parties from the event and the premises without warning. Parties that are removed from the venue or disqualified from the event under the aforementioned circumstances will have no claim to financial compensation and may be liable to pay the Producer compensation for any damages resulting from their actions. The decision lies solely at the discretion of the Producer. Attendees are required to be respectful of all event Staff and fellow attendees at all times. Abuse, whether verbal or physical, will not be tolerated and will result in the offending individuals either being disqualified and/or removed from the venue, at the discretion of the Producer.

VENUE RULES
Individuals will be subject to bag inspections whenever entering or leaving the venue at the discretion of the Producer and its Staff. Refusal to cooperate with this condition by any individual will prevent them from entry into the venue and participation in the event and can result in disqualification and/or removal of the individual from the venue and the  event, at the discretion of the Producer and its Staff.

DAMAGE LIABILITY
All Individuals and Attendees release the Producer, its Partners, Broadcasters and Distributors of the event from:
1. any and all claims for damage or personal injury arising from or relating to an individual’s participation in
the event, and
2. all liability and obligation to the individual of any and all nature whatsoever arising out of or in connection
with the exercise of the rights granted herein including, without limitation, from any liability for violation of rights of privacy, publicity, defamation, emotional distress or any similar right. The Individual(s) hereby indemnify the Producer and its Partners from and against all claims, actions, losses, damages, judgments and liabilities resulting from any breach or alleged breach of this agreement and/or any actions or omissions by the Individual(s) while participating in the event. In no event shall the Individual(s), and the Individual(s) hereby irrevocably waive, any right to sue the Producer or its Partners or to seek or obtain injunction or other equitable relief in connection with the event, the Advertisements or any other productions, or the production, distribution, exhibition or other exploitation, or the advertising, promoting or publicizing of the event. This is the entire agreement and, subsequent to execution, cannot be modified without written consent.

MATERIAL RELEASE
The Individual(s)/Team hereby grants to the Producer and its Partners a worldwide, irrevocable, perpetual, non-exclusive, transferable, royalty-free license, with the right to sub-license, to use, copy, adapt, modify, distribute, license, sell and make available for streaming or an on demand service (or download or as part of a subscription service), transfer, publicly display, publicly perform, transmit, stream, live stream, broadcast, access, view, and otherwise exploit such Original Content (as hereinafter defined) and any and all videos, shows, broadcasts, digital media, promotional and marketing materials. The Individual(s)/Team additionally grants to the Producer and its Partners the rights to use and display the Team’s or Individuals’ names, likeness, biographical materials, logos, trademarks and designs, including, without limitation the name Curse in connection with the marketing and promotion of the Original Content and/or the UGC and/or the marketing, promotion and/or exploitation of the rights granted to the Producer herein.

The Individual and their Team additionally grant to the Producer and its Partners the rights to use and display the Team’s or Individuals’ names, likeness, biographical materials, logos, trademarks and designs, including, without limitation the Team name in connection with the marketing and promotion of the Original Content and/or UGC and/or the marketing, promotion and/or exploitation of the rights granted to the Producer herein.
